In July, we introduced an early view of generative search in Bing, and today we’re taking the next step as we continue to evolve our vision of the future of search. With the introduction of generative search, Bing utilizes AI to deliver a truly unique experience by not only optimizing the search results but also how those results appear in a cohesive layout. This transformation is more than aesthetic; it’s about creating a seamless experience that empowers you to explore, learn, and find information in new ways.

After introducing LLM-powered chat answers on Bing in February of last year, we’ve been hard at work on the ongoing revolution of search. Bing continues to be trusted by hundreds of millions of users to find information, get answers to questions, and explore their curiosity. Today, we’re excited to share an early view of our new generative search experience which is currently shipping to a small percentage of user queries.

Microsoft Rewards expanded to Morocco and Israel and is now available in over 230 countries and regions, covering all seven continents. We’re also evolving and expanding the program and adding more features and benefits based on our members’ input and feedback.  

Since becoming generally available in December, Microsoft Copilot has been adopted by workers, faculty, and—most recently—higher ed students, as their everyday AI companion with commercial data protection. They’re using it to find better answers, maximize their efficiency, and instantly be more creative—all while helping to keep their organization’s data safe with commercial data protection.  

Since Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise) launched in preview in February, people around the world have embraced it as their everyday AI companion. It’s been used to generate billions of prompts and responses, helping people be more creative and productive in their lives.

We’re excited to share that DALL-E 3, the latest and most capable text-to-image model from OpenAI, is now generally available to everyone within Bing Chat and Bing.com/create—for free! The DALL-E 3 model from OpenAI delivers enhancements that improve the overall quality and detail of images, along with greater accuracy for human hands, faces, and text in images. 

Last week was a big one! We announced lots of new experiences coming to Bing Chat—including personalized answers, DALL-E 3, and new AI-powered features in SwiftKey. Over the next few weeks, you’ll see some of these features appear as we test them before release. These Release Notes will continue to update you on which features are fully available to all users.
