Minister Says Nigeria Recorded 12.9m Cyber Attacks During Presidential Poll.

The minister of Communications and Digital Technology, Isa Pantami said Nigeria recorded 12 million cyber attacks during the presidential elections.

The cyber attacks were recorded from both inside and outside the country and were successfully blocked by different agencies on the ground.

Despite having one of the strongest data Policies, there still remains a breach in Nigeria’s Internet Security. According to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, he reveals that there were over 12 million cyberattacks recorded between the 24th to the 28th of February, from which on election day alone which was the 25th of February, it recorded about 7 million cyber attacks.
