What is the CSCG?
The annual Cyber Security Challenge Germany is part of the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC), which brings interested young people from 22 offers European countries a platform to compete online and on-site with IT security challenges.
Teenagers and young adults between 14 and 25 years old can participate. Previous knowledge in the IT security is not required. There are tasks in different levels of difficulty, so that beginners can get started and experts are also offered a challenge.
Provide solid basic knowledge in general computer science, enjoyment of puzzles and interest in the field of IT security a good prerequisite.
Participants and interested parties can exchange ideas via our Discord server. Especially new participants are invited to get to know their fellow players and the team.
The competition is structured in the “Capture the Flag” style and is run by experienced former participants and CTF players. The tasks cover various areas of IT security, such as cryptography, Web applications, reverse engineering or network security.
The German qualifying round takes place online annually from 1 March to 1 May 2023. The ten best participants from each. The age groups Junior (14 to 20 years) and Senior (21 to 25 years) will be invited to the German final, which will take place at the beginning of July.

After the final round, a junior and a senior team consisting of five participants each will be created, who will represent Germany at of the European Cyber Security Challenge.
