Cyber attack puts at risk Johns Hopkins University and Health System community.

Members of the Johns Hopkins community were told that the cyber attack against Johns Hopkins University and Health System that happened on May 31st 2023.

Recently, Johns Hopkins University and Health System (JHU&HS) was hit by a cyber attack. This attack put at risk the entire JHU&HS community, as the hackers had access to sensitive information such as medical records and social security numbers.

It was determined that the hackers had gained access to the university’s computer systems and were able to access sensitive information. While the exact nature of the cyber attack is still unknown, it is believed that the hackers exploited a vulnerability in the university’s system.

The university has been working with law enforcement and a cybersecurity firm to investigate the attack and determine the extent of the breach. In the meantime, the university has taken additional precautions to protect the data of its students, faculty, staff, and patients.

The university has also notified all affected individuals and provided them with instructions on how to protect their personal information. Furthermore, the university is offering free credit monitoring services to any affected individuals.
