Cyber criminals consider us low-hanging fruit because we pay up all the time.

Australia is a “very rich” prospect for cyber criminals, says Monash University Cyber-Security Professor Nigel Phair.

“We pay up all the time when it comes to ransomware,”

Mr Phair told Sky News host Cory Bernadi.

“Our corporates just don’t invest sufficient enough effort into cyber-risk management.

“We are the low-hanging fruit, internationally, of cyber-crime.”
